My Dearest Sherry,
As the First Anniversary of your passing approaches, it seems appropriate to share the web page created in your memory, which includes the song I wrote and recorded for you.
Were it not for God’s incredible love and grace, I could not go on. And though there will forever be times when sleep and physical rest elude me –I am reminded of God’s promise in Matthew 11:28 when Jesus said, “Come to me all you who are worried and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
There is a place of perfect rest – and it is my prayer, Sherry, that this song will touch the hearts of others who have experienced the pain of suddenly losing a loved one, and that they will also find this place of, “Perfect Rest.”
I continue to miss you more than I ever thought possible my dear little girl. And as your presence quietly walks in and out of my mind unannounced, a flood of tears comes from nowhere and the sadness nearly overwhelms me. I love you so very much.
You keep watching, Honey, and one day I will join you, just inside “The Eastern Gate.”
